At Jeelek Electrical & Construction Services, we recently had the distinct pleasure of working on an electrical installation project for a beautiful Victorian apartment in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. This engagement focused solely on our specialty—electrical services—while collaborating with other trades contracted by the client.

Expert Electrical Installation

The heart of our contribution to this renovation involved a full rewire of the apartment to meet modern safety and efficiency standards. Our skilled electricians meticulously installed all-new electrical circuits and a contemporary consumer unit. These upgrades were essential for integrating state-of-the-art appliances and technologies seamlessly into the historic fabric of the building.

Customised Lighting Solutions

One of our key tasks was installing a lighting scheme that enhanced the apartment’s architectural beauty. The team installed under-cabinet and above-cabinet lighting in the kitchen. This approach not only provided optimum lighting for food preparation and other kitchen tasks, but also cast a warm glow on the ornate plaster cornices, accentuating their intricate details.

Central to our lighting design was the installation of a magnificent crystal chandelier, suspended from the existing ornate plaster ceiling rose. This elegant addition serves as a striking visual centerpiece, brilliantly reflecting the historical essence and aesthetic charm of the apartment.


Incorporating Eco-Friendly Technology

Emphasising sustainability, we installed a Zappi EV charging point outside the property. The innovative Zappi charger, designed and manufactured by the UK-based MyEnergi, is adept at harnessing power from both the grid and user-generated solar energy. This capability makes it a perfect fit for the eco-conscious resident, offering flexibility in energy use and helping to minimize the environmental impact of electric vehicle charging.

The charger's smart features, including WiFi connectivity and app compatibility, allow users to manage their charging settings efficiently—such as scheduling timers and monitoring energy usage—enhancing both the functionality and usability of this green technology.
